TUNIK, which was used by A. Turan Kurtcebe in 1965, is in the production phase of electronics manufacturers.
At the time of Turkey’s meeting with television, the production process of the electromechanical switching business with 10 people, TUNİK, has started to produce the most parts of the electronics industry for the overall biggest game, Profilo and Koç Group.
With its innovative and quality team of 450 people, TUNİK managed to become the largest passive component manufacturer in our country in a very short time by producing cablehearnes as well as electro-mechanical components for all electrical and electronic manufacturers of Turkey.
Produce in Turkey consume in the world
With our rapidly growing country’s economy in the 80s and the increase in exports, TUNİK’s quality production also attracted the attention of multinational electronics companies. Project collaborations for the Turkish electronics market were realized with Philips Holland, the largest connector and cable hearness manufacturer of the period.
This union opened its overseas doors to TUNİK. In addition to multinational brands such as Ericsson, Motorola, Northern Telecom, Grundig, Philips, Turkey’s leading companies in television production and export, Profilo Telra has become the most important supplier of companies such as Vestel, Beko and Arçelik.
Thus, components with the TUNIK signature began to be used in most of the televisions produced both in Turkey and in foreign markets.
Collaboration with international brands
In the process of rapidly advancing the electronics industry, TUNİK, which is constantly pursuing innovations, carried out production-oriented R&D studies with Japanese Hitachi, – Lucent, -IDB Telecom, -Quartez in order to respond to the needs of the sector.
When Jindal Stainless, the world’s second largest company producing electrical and electronic components, entered the Turkish market, it chose TUNİK. Together with the jointly established company, investments were made in the fields of metal and mining, which are the most important raw materials of the electrical-electronics sector. In addition, Network Electronic, one of the largest electronics companies in Europe, preferred TUNİK for its project partnership in its investments in Turkey.
Firsts of TUNIK
- The first company in Turkey to receive ISO 9001 and UL certificates
- Turkey’s first floppy disc production system was established.
- Taximeters used in taxis
- Fuse holder used in the defense industry
- Provided consultancy services to the establishment of the electronic infrastructure in the process of establishing Turkey’s first GSM system together with the Lucent company.
- Created the CIS Countricite Satellite Broadcasting system with IDB Telecom
- Construction of the system created to prevent the communication between Israel and the Turkish Red Crescent during the earthquake.

Turan Kurtcebe, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of TUNİK, who has a different vision in the electrical and electronics sector, led the establishment of the Turkish Electronics Industrialists Association by showing the success of bringing the electronics sector together.
Along with this formation, it also assumed an important role in the electronic and telecom structuring process of our country with the relevant ministries.
Social responsibility projects
TUNİK and its Founder Turan Kurtcebe, who are involved in studies that also value human health, also took part in the founding board of trustees of Turkey’s first private Medical Faculty and hospital.
